PLANERS

SURFACE PLANER

A planer is a machine tool used for planing wood removing material from the piece of wood thus obtaining perfect planing of the part only on one face and/or also on the opposite face. The surface planer is ideal for planing operations on bare wood, to create the first face of the piece to be worked. Once this first phase is finished, the face will be perfectly planed, while the second will still be untreated.

The THICKNESS PLANER uses the same types of shaft as the planer but, unlike the first, it has only one plane that moves close to the shaft up to 4/5mm or move away up to 250/300mm. It is used to even out the second face and reaches the desired thickness.
